Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright

Who didn't like the ascendancy of Tiger Woods. It was the handsome, young, talented, black man succeeding at the white man's (well, Scottish, duh.) game. Furthermore it was a "high-class" sport. We're talking country club here people, you know, the acreage, formerly out in the country, that has been encapsulated by urban growth and sealed in a shell of dense shrubbery. Hey, try to imagine yourself as a kid peeking through the bushes at the manicured expanse and saying to yourself ,"someday, yeah, someday!"

Well, someday came, and as we are all aware the recurring miracle of a successful athlete occurred. Tiger became a winner. Guess what? Winners have to be perfect. It's an unwritten rule. If we ever wrote it down, we'd probably get sued just for writing it down. As it is, only winners are at risk. Furthermore, they never seem to catch on before they win. Next.

Let's examine the state of being perfect. As it seems to be understood, those whose lives are "public" are not allowed to be "common" or ordinary in their behavior. In other words, whatever you and I might get into a bit of trouble over is enough to simply ruin the life and career of such a "perfect" one.

As far as I am concerned, Tiger Woods is the best golfer I have seen in my day. The problem he's having is that "perfectionists" ignore the importance of testosterone, and Tiger's probably buying into this. That's a shame. Competition has everything to do with sexuality, and you can't expect a competitive male to compete while deprived of his pecker.

Lookout!
Daddy
