Daddy Underwig has been around for a while, as you have probably gathered, and he has had the pleasure of meeting a great number of interesting people, some of whom he will tell you about from time to time. Now, there is no need to get nervous, even though I am sure you are very interesting. The chance that Daddy knows you or anything about you is very small, although, as they say, you never know. Besides, no matter how familiar any of Daddy's friends may seem to you, always remember the possibility that Daddy might be lying. This is some times called fiction.
Daddy also wishes he could quit his job and spend all his time telling you stories, but, for now, he'll have to be content with occasional installments. It's either that, or under the bridge! Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the upcoming offerings.
